Rules for round 1

  • Each Participant will receive a separate email from Happydemic with details on file uploads and next steps.

1. Presentation of any one Hindustani Classical Raag in the form of a Chota khayal or Tarana or Dhrupad.

2. 8 Minutes Maximum. Video length should not exceed the time limit.

3. All participants are expected to make their own accompaniment arrangements.

4. A minimum of Taanpuraa (electronic or real) AND Tabla (electronic or real) must be used for a performance.

5. Karaoke is not allowed.

6.  ALL rules specified in General section are applicable to this category as well.

7. A different Raag must be presented for Round 1 and Round 2.

8. If you are selected for the Round 3 finals, the rules would be conveyed to you.

  1. 1. Presentation of any Marathi Song.

2. Time allowed: 5 Minutes Maximum. Video length should not exceed the time limit.

3. All contestants can sing on karaoke tracks or live band.

4. All participants are expected to make their own accompaniment arrangements.

5. A minimum of Taanpuraa (electronic or real) AND Tabla (electronic or real) must be used for a performance.

6. ALL rules specified in General section are applicable to this category as well.

7. Round 1 : 1 Marathi song.

8. Round 2 : If you are selected for the Round 2 finals, the rules would be conveyed to you.

9. Round 3 : If you are selected for the Round 3 finals, the rules would be conveyed to you.

Audio/ Video Guidelines

  • The file size should not exceed 1 GB

  • The video should be recorded using a good smartphone/DSLR camera/Handycam in landscape format or holding your smartphone horizontally.

  • The recording quality should be 720p. Higher quality is better but make sure you do not exceed the file size limit specified above.

  • No personal information such as Name, Age, name of Guru etc. should be mentioned in the video. Participants can provide information only about the song or raag being performed.

  • Submission id must be displayed in the video in such a way that it should be clearly seen by the judges, but at the same time it should not distract the attention of the audience and should be visually pleasant.

  • Sound quality should be clear and audible, without any background noise. You may use a good quality external microphone for audio if you have one.

  • Please pay attention to the camera angle, sit/stand/dance against the light so that face is clearly visible. Preferably with a plain and clean background.

  • Before submitting, please make sure your audio track is clearly audible in the recording

  • Most importantly, the video MUST NOT be edited, audio/video enhanced. It should be a single and continuous recording with no cuts, transitions, etc.

  • Video with any other advertisement, logo/banners will not be accepted

  • Video uploaded using music apps such as Smule, Starmaker or any other software won’t be considered. No alteration to be made on the original audio video recorded.

  • Kindly submit one video per participant only. Multiple uploads are not allowed. The first upload will be considered for the evaluation by the jury.

  • Just Audio files will not be considered as a valid entry. Video of your song is a MUST.

  • You Tube videos or any link of the videos are not allowed.

  • Submit the correct video before the Deadline to ensure participation.

  • The video should be submitted in an acceptable file format (MP4 and MOV)
