Abhijit is an alumnus of IIT Mumbai and Stanford Graduate School of Business with over 22 years industry experience. Earlier he started his career with Siemens Medical systems before founding his first medical device company that was acquired by Roche Diagnostics for $100mn. Later he founded 3 startups, invested in 9 startups and presently on board of 6 startups. After multiple exits, he founded Venture Fund, Optra Ventures to support and groom dual shore (US and India) entrepreneurs. In addition to technology and science ventures, Abhijit also entered into entertainment venture, Devisha Films, that won 3 national awards before becoming highest box office grosser for his debut film production.

Abhijit has invented and authored 19 patents and several publications including Nature, Applied Immuno Histochemistry and Lancet to name a few. Abhijit is a charter and board member of TiE Silicon Valley and presently convener of world’s largest entrepreneur conference, TiECon 2022. Abhijit’s philanthropic venture, Jiji-Bhau foundation has helped over 50 children suffering from Leukemia in rural India.
