Dr. Smita Kargutkar-Ajgaonkar, who will be speaking on “Anti-Aging Medicine: Past, Present, and Future”

Dr. Smita completed her MBBS from Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai. After completing her MBBS, she did 1 year of rural service as a Chief Medical Officer at Primary Health Center, Walawal, Sindhudurg, where she was able to improve her clinical skills in an extremely basic clinical set up, seeing various interesting clinical cases like poisonous snake bites, tetany, and stroke patients.

After moving to the US, she completed her MD in Internal Medicine from Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ. She then became the first fellow in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism in Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. After completing her fellowship, she moved back to New Jersey and worked for Barnabas Health Medical Group for 3 years. But her passion for Integrative Medicine made her pursue additional fellowship in Integrative, Functional, and Anti-Aging Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

She currently practices in her own Integrative Endocrinology practice which combines Allopathy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Homeopathy and Holistic Medicine at ACE Endocrinology Associates in Red Bank, New Jersey. She has published multiple case reports in various peer reviewed journals. She is a speaker for Abbvie and is an active member of the Corcept Advisory Board.
